NY State trooper fires shot while trying to stop car on RFK Bridge, suspect in custody

NEW YORK (WABC) — A New York State trooper fired a shot as he tried to cease a car on the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge Sunday.

The scene unfolded round 12:45 p.m.

Police stated a trooper was struck by a car through the incident, suffered minor accidents, and was taken to the hospital.

Police stated one suspect is in custody, however no different particulars have been supplied.

Video from the scene confirmed site visitors on the bridge was at a standstill as police investigated.

The video confirmed no less than three automobiles had been broken.

Police say one lane of the bridge continues to be closed.
