Yangzom Wujohktsang | Architecture | Residency in Nepal APPOINTMENT Saloni Anand joins Pro Helvetia New Delhi as Office Administration ManagerPro Helvetia New Delhi is delighted to welcome a new team member. Starting 1 July, Saloni Anand will be Office Administration Manager at Pro Helvetia New Delhi. A commerce graduate from the University of Delhi, Saloni holds a diploma in the German Language from Max Mueller Bhawan. She has previously worked at various organisations including Aptara, the German Book Office (Project Coordinator, 2011-16), and Khoj International Artists Association (Project Coordinator, 2019-21). Saloni has also supported past projects for Pro Helvetia New Delhi such as the Long Night of LiteratureS. She has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of office management and project coordination. She likes cycling, traveling, dancing and exploring different forms of art. EVENTSTHEATRE Peter Rinderknecht on India Tour with "Minor Matters"Theatre artist Peter Rinderknecht will be in India with “Minor Matters”, a story of departure, desires, hopes and disappointments. VISUAL ARTS "Broken Cogs in the Machine" : Anupam Roy exhibition at Vadehra GalleryBroken Cogs in the Machine speaks to Anupam Roy’s conversations with and within the expanses of movements, forms of protest, socio-economic identities and the binaries of language; it zeroes in on an attempt to think about representation by addressing the impossibilities of the same. Who are we within the institution? How do we take shape? The exhibition will be on display at Vadehra Art Gallery in New Delhi from July 6 - August 5, 2022. MUSIC • • • (aka Nikola H. MULTI DISCIPLINARY Lumbung of PublishersAs Documenta 15 opens its doors, 22 independent publishers, book makers and artists from all over the world come together from 6-11 July in Kassel. Together they will explore their practices and approaches to independent work and think through future ways of collaborating beyond the festival. In the coming weeks @colombedouin (Abdul Halik Azeez) will provide insights into this process through our Instagram account and website. @the_packet from Sri Lanka is among one of the 22 publishers involved in the Lumbung. LITERATURE Translation of Markus Kirchhofer's Book to be Released in Bangla by RritobakMarkus Kirchhofer's book of short stories "Der Stachel" will be published into Bangla by Rritobak publishers. "Kanta" - the translation by Sulagna Mukhopadhyay - presents in Bengali the seventeen short stories by the author that portray incidents that take place in small Swiss towns. The stories are based on contemporary Swiss society, in many cases based on situations and relationships. The author appears as an observer, where he is trying to record events and conversations, sometimes in bits and pieces as the story unfolds. RESIDENCIESVISUAL ARTS Sandeep TK on Studio Residency in SwitzerlandSandeep TK is a lens-based artist from Thalassery, Kerala, living and working in Bangalore. His practice involves photography, text and videos which often involves himself and focuses on the idea of human relationships, space and memory through personal experience and exploration of his identity and surroundings.
