So I have fully recovered from COVID… well, okay, maybe not fully—I still have a bit of a cough, but it’s a small one. That said, I’m still at my mom’s. She’s almost back to full health, so I expect to go back home in a week or two. Meaning, one month into the new year, I still haven’t done much writing as I spent the little free time I had focusing on translation work (it pays the bills—sort of). Boy, can’t wait to get home so I can start writing. I have TONS of ideas screaming to be written. Coming up this monthSo here’s the thing… Ever since I came to my mom’s, I’ve been posting stories I wrote a while back. That buffer is almost gone, though. I do still have maybe three or four stories I can post. That’s the main reason I’ve been posting only one story a month lately, as I didn’t want to run out before I had time to write more, ha! All this to say… there will only be one story this month again. Sorry! I’m not sure which one yet. Probably a story about a mask I wrote in 2020. There are a few other options, but those still need a bit of work. This one, on the other hand, is all done and edited and ready to go. Still, I’m not fully decided for a number of reasons… Either way, whichever story I go for, it’ll likely hit your inbox two weeks from now. The good news though is that when I get home, the first thing I’ll do is write a bunch of stories for Substack, so I can build up that buffer again. I already outlined the second installment to the Silius Chronicles and plan to write new stories featuring Varushka and Reikk. Oh, and Ash & Cinder will be back too ;) “Write 6 Books in a Year Challenge”Update #1If you’ve read all of the above, you might have guessed that I haven’t started on any of these yet. However, one of those six books was already partly written last year, so that should mitigate the lost month. Stay tuned for the continued adventures of a foolhardy author… And hopefully I’ll have more to report in March! Books to readHere is a selection of books that might be of interest to you.
