Exclusive Article from MarketBeat Media TL;DR: Why Reddit is the New Growth Stock to BeatAuthor: Nathan Reiff. Posted: 12/19/2025.
What You Need to Know - Reddit's revenue and user base have grown at a fast pace in recent quarters.
- Strong performance internationally has helped to fuel these gains, thanks to add-on features like translation tools and more.
- The company's average revenue per user remains low compared to rivals, suggesting that Reddit could continue to boost its appeal to advertisers going forward.
Reddit Inc. (NYSE: RDDT) is ending the year on a high note, returning about 37% in 2025 after a rally that had appeared to flatline earlier in the fall. The online content-sharing platform is showing signs of rapid growth, with its user base, earnings, and engagement features all expanding quickly. At a time when major social media rivals like Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ: META) and alternatives such as Pinterest Inc. (NYSE: PINS) have failed to outperform the market or have declined this year, Reddit stands out. What No One's Saying About Amazon's 30k Layoff
First they cut jobs at Meta... now 30,000 at Amazon – its largest layoff in history. What's happening inside these Mag 7 companies, particularly as the stocks continue to soar to all- time highs? The same former hedge fund manager who predicted the dot com crash, the housing crisis and the fall of Lehman is now stepping forward to explain what's really going on... and what you should be doing with your money Learn more. What might 2026 have in store for the popular aggregation site, and will it remain the growth stock to beat? A closer look at user engagement, advertising momentum, and the company's ability to boost revenue sheds light on Reddit's prospects. User Engagement Fuels Potential Growth One of Reddit's brightest spots this year has been its engagement gains. The company finished the third quarter with about 116 million daily active uniques (DAUQ) — individual users who visit reddit.com, open a related app, or otherwise engage with the platform in a 24-hour period. That represented roughly a 20% year-over-year (YOY) increase, similar to the rise in weekly active uniques (WAUQ). International DAUQ growth outpaced overall gains, rising about 31% YOY, with notable strength in France, Brazil and India. Reddit's business depends on a large and active user base. Growth in DAUQ and WAUQ makes the platform more attractive to advertisers, who account for the bulk of the company's sales. Data monetization is a relatively untapped revenue opportunity. With some 3.8 billion site visits in September alone, Reddit has vast user data that could become increasingly valuable as AI demand grows. Revenue and Earnings Climb, But ARPU Trails Competitors As engagement has risen, so has revenue. In the latest earnings, revenue reached $585 million, up more than two-thirds year over year. International revenue was particularly strong, growing 74% YOY. Earnings per share (EPS) rose about 400% over the same period, and both top- and bottom-line results beat analyst estimates. Guidance for the final quarter put revenue between $655 million and $665 million. Measured on a per-user basis, average revenue per user (ARPU) was $5.04 in the last quarter — a 41% YOY improvement but still well below many rivals (Meta's ARPU, for example, is roughly three times that level). Improving ARPU will require more than user growth; it will require new product and advertising innovations. Reddit can lift ARPU by leveraging its unique content and community engagement and by deploying tools such as auto-translation and better indexing—capabilities that can be especially attractive to advertisers seeking diverse, active audiences. AI and Human Content Balance Key to 2026 Outlook Analysts are generally optimistic heading into 2026, with 18 of 29 analysts assigning Reddit a Buy or equivalent rating. With a consensus price target of $230.28, Reddit's stock is approaching the level analysts see as its near-term upside, making further short-term gains less certain. How Reddit navigates AI will be a major factor in future price appreciation. So far, the company has limited visible AI features for users, and that restraint has helped preserve the appeal of human-generated content. If Reddit can maintain a balance of strong, authentic community content while rolling out useful tools for users and advertisers, it could sustain both engagement and revenue growth into 2026 and beyond.
